The official Twitter account for the editorial department of Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine revealed on Monday that writer Homura Kawamoto and artist Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga series has 4 million copies in print.
The manga launched in Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine in March 2014. Square Enix published the ninth compiled book volume on January 27. Yen Press licensed the manga, and shipped the fourth volume on January 23.
The manga inspired a television anime series that ran from July to September last year in Japan. The series premiered on Netflix in some countries including the United States and the United Kingdom on Thursday. The manga is also inspiring a currently-airing live-action series that premiered on January 14. The anime will receive a second season.
