I hope she takes all the time she needs.

It’s still weird to me that Japanese media is willing to announce that celebrities have the very specific diagnosis of adjustment disorder, which really just means “mental health issue related to stress.” In other contexts, they bend over backwards not to reveal any detail about health issues, but for this they have to get very clinical about it.

I hope mental health treatment has gotten better in Japan. Because it was absolutely abysmal when I was there 20 years ago.

Uh no, it hasn't changed that much since 20 years ago.

it too obviously depends on whether the person want to show that info or not . not like they did that without her agreement
