Level-5 President Teaches Students How to Make Monsters on Japanese Reality Show

The president of a gaming company is getting ready to talk to young people about making monsters for a living.
Game studio Level-5 president Akihiro Hino will guest-star in an episode of Japanese reality show "Kaigai Jugyō: Yōkōso Sempai" to talk to prospective students about his video game career. In the show, entitled "Making Monsters and Polishing Fantasies", Hino will discuss his own time as a student as he grew up indulging in several fantasies related to his everyday life and how he was able to make a living out of it by creating video games. He will also encourage school students to ask questions about mundane yet odd occurrences in their daily lives and try to draw some fantasy from it, such as a ghost or a monster placing messing up their house slippers. Hino aims to cultivate the imaginations of young people and helping them create their own fantasies and monsters.
The episode will air on NHK on August 14 at and again on August 29.
Level-5 is an independent video game developer founded by Hino in 1998. The company is known for their work on several franchises including Inazuma Eleven, Professor Layton, and Yo-Kai Watch.
Kaigai Jugyou is a Japanese reality show in which famous Japanese celebrities visit their alma mater schools and teach specialized lessons.
