Fan Creates Pokémon Battle Demo for Augmented Reality Glasses
posted on by Amanda Ellard
Fan KennyWdev uploaded a Pokémon RPG battle system they created named "PokeLens" for the Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality glasses to their YouTube Channel on November 6 . Pokémon Go already showed the world how Pokémon can operate in augmented reality, but this work takes it a step further. Rather than still relying on the phone screen, this augmented reality demo previews what a mash-up between Pokémon Go and the Pokémon RPG battle systems would look like in the augmented reality glasses.
Microsoft opened orders for its HoloLens headsets to developers earlier this year for US$3,000.
The newest Pokémon games Sun & Moon debut in Japan and North America on November 18, followed by Europe on November 23. The official English and Japanese Pokémon Company International YouTube channels are streaming trailers for the game including special features, customization options, and game-exclusive Pokémon.
