Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers Site Hijacked with Marijuana Info

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Pony Canyon is looking into the issue

The official website for the Rokka: Braves of Six Flowers anime series was updated with new "announcements," but not the kind fans are probably hoping for. The site was tampered with beginning on December 11 and its News section had multiple posts about how to grow strains of marijuana.

The post does not, in fact, include any kind of roadmap

A total of six posts were written in English between December 11-20. The site is operated by production company Pony Canyon. The website Nikkei xTECH reached out to Pony Canyon on December 21 about the updates and the company responded that they are aware of the situation and looking into the cause.

The individual posts, while centering on marijuana, still seem to be nonsensical. One post opens with the recommendation to increase a dosage if the reader's dog isn't "feeling any effects after a few hours" followed by descriptions of different kinds of arthritis in humans.

Rokka: Braves of Six Flowers is based on the light novel series by Ishio Yamagata (The Book of Bantorra). Yamagata launched the novel series with illustrations by Miyagi in 2011 and Passione animated the anime adaptation that premiered in 2015. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan but the anime was removed from the service this year. Ponycan USA released the series in collector's edition Blu-ray sets.
