Series premieres in China, Japan on January 12; Japanese cast revealed

Tencent and Success announced on Tuesday that they are producing a Chinese-Japanese co-produced animated series adaptation of the Tencent comic Chōyū Sekai (World of Super Sand Box). The animation will premiere in both China and Japan on January 12. Success is streaming a promotional video for the series, with Japanese theme song by Riho Iida. The video describes the anime as a "miraculous story about fiction, reality, and people's thoughts merging."

The series' official Twitter account revealed the Japanese cast:

  • Shun Horie as Noii
  • Yoshiko Ikuta as Motis
  • Yurika Kubo as Cass
  • Kazutomi Yamamoto as Haki
  • Yuki Adachi as Vinsen
  • Kazuma Horie as Keikan
  • Emiri Katou as Ryū-sensei
  • Sarara Yashima as Chinnō
  • Rika Tachibana as Hakū
  • Riho Iida as Mōnsuto
  • Takehito Koyasu as Viros

Note: The character name Romanizations not official.

Success is a Japan-based amusement company that is involved in smartphone, web, and console games, as well as pachislot (pachinko slot) machines.

Last summer's Hitori no Shita the outcast anime and last fall's Bloodivores anime also adapted comics in Tencent's Tencent Comic website.

Update: Success is a Japanese amusement company, not a Japanese-Chinese amusement company as previously stated. Thanks, Rednimue.
