Anime Boston to Host Voice Actor Tohru Furuya

The Anime Boston convention announced on Friday that it will host veteran voice actor Tohru Furuya as a guest at this year's convention.
Furuya has lent his voice to a number of iconic roles including Amuro Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam, Pegasus Seiya in Saint Seiya, Kyosuke Kasuga in Kimagure Orange Road, Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Kamen in Sailor Moon, Sabo in One Piece, and Yamcha in Dragon Ball Z. He's currently reprising his role in Dragon Ball Super.
Furuya is also attending Tsukino-Con this weekend in Victoria, British Columbia, and he will attend Anime Central in May. Furuya is celebrating his 50th anniversary in the industry this year.
Anime Boston will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from March 31 to April 2. Other announced guests include director Naokatsu Tsuda, voice actors Lex Lang, Johnny Yong Bosch, Michelle Ruff, Sandy Fox, and Brina Palencia, the Puffy AmiYumi group, and the band OKAMOTO'S.
