Purely Monster Idol Group Member Yurie Funato Leaves Unit

Musical unit Purely Monster (A Centaur's Life) member Yurie Funato announced on Twitter on Tuesday that she is a free agent as of May 1. She left both her agency Holy Peak on April 30 and the Purely Monster group.
Funato revealed that she had suffered a bone fracture and ligament damage in her lower right leg at the end of April 2017. Although she was able to continue working, she broke the bone again in July. She continued to feel pain from the injury even into this year, and she then decided to leave the industry to focus on recuperation as advised by her doctor.
Funato said that she is sad to leave Purely Monster and thanked fans for their support. She said she will do her best so that she can return to the industry.
The official website for the television anime of Seiichi Takayama and Yukisan's The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar (Hyakuren no Haō to Seiyaku no Valkyria) light novel series revealed on Tuesday that Yurie Funato will no longer voice the character Linnea. The staff will announce a new cast member for the character at a later date.
Funato performed the opening theme song "Oshiete Darwin" for A Centaur's Life with Purely Monster. She also played a mermaid schoolgirl and Nadeshiko Shimoike in the series.
