The December issue of Comic Ran Twins on November 13 had teased the chapter, but did not specify at the time if the chapter would be new or a reprint of an old chapter.
The late Shigeru Mizuki's supernatural manga Kitaro (GeGeGe no Kitarō) began in 1959 under the name Hakaba Kitarō. The stories center on an inhuman boy who straddles the line between the human and supernatural worlds.
The manga has spawned several television series (including one Hakaba Kitarō anime), animated movies, and two live-action films.
The latest anime adaptation premiered on April 1 and will run for 50+ episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.
