Laid-Back Camp Manga Moves From Magazine to New App

Houbunsha's new Comic Fuz app launches this spring

The official Twitter account for Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara magazine revealed on Thursday that Afro's Laid-Back Camp (Yurucamp) manga will move from the Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine to Houbunsha's upcoming manga website and app Comic Fuz, which will launch this spring.

Comic Fuz will host Houbunsha manga, including Puella Magi Madoka Magica spinoff manga, as well as Hidamari Sketch, Kill Me Baby, K-ON!, and other manga. The Twitter account specifically uses the term "iseki" (changing registry) for Laid-Back Camp, which is usually used in this context to mean a serialized manga changing publications.

Yen Press is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Rin enjoys camping by the lakeshore, Mt. Fuji in view. Nadeshiko rides her bike to see Mt. Fuji, too. As the two eat cup noodles together, what scenery will they behold? This series will make readers fall in love with camping!

Afro launched the manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in 2015, and Houbunsha published the manga's seventh compiled volume last October. Yen Press published the fourth volume last November.

The manga inspired a television anime series that premiered in January 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. The manga is inspiring a new film and short anime.
