Anime Network Licenses Ninja Nonsense from The Right Stuf International

Hit Japanese Series to Make U.S. Television Debut

HOUSTON, TX – June 14, 2007 – Bringing American television audiences the first look at a hot, new animated series from Japan, Anime Network announced today it has licensed The Right Stuf International's Ninja Nonsense. Targeted for young adults, this racy series follows the mischievous adventures of Shinobu during her days as a young ninja-in-training. The 12-episode series has been a hit in Japan and is set to make its U.S. VOD premiere on July 5, 2007 on America's #1 Anime Channel, Anime Network.

"Anime Network offers its viewers an amazing, diverse lineup of quality anime titles, so it was natural for us to want to partner with them to bring Ninja Nonsense to U.S. television," said Shawne Kleckner, President and CEO, Right Stuf. "We look forward to seeing this very cool series, and its unique brand of humor, reach even more anime fans."

The edgy, half-hour animated series follows the comedic escapades of Shinobu, a naive ninja-in-training who must steal the panties from high school girls in order to test her ninja abilities. Sadly, she is caught in the act on her very first attempt, but winds up befriending her victim, Kaede, a true voice of reason. Enter a yellow ball-thing claiming to be a ninja master and trying to wreak havoc on her new friendship, and you've got the makings of one wild and hilarious story.

Right Stuf International is a premier retailer of quality Japanese animation, and we are thrilled to partner with them on the U.S. television launch of Ninja Nonsense,” said Stacy Dodson, Director of Programming and Operations for Anime Network. “This series already has a tremendous fan base in Japan and we are confident our viewers will love it just as much.”
