Toy Vault Inks Deal with FUNimation for the Hit Anime Series
LONDON, Ky., Jan. 09, 2007 – Toy Vault, Inc. announced today that it signed a licensing agreement with FUNimation Entertainment to create high quality plush, and plush accessories based on “Shin-chan,” a Japanese anime series based on the manga written by Yoshito Usui.
Toy Vault plans to launch products that showcase the intriguing personalities of the unique characters encompassed by the property. In addition to standard plush, talking variations, and plush accessories such as slippers, pillows, and puppets will also be made available. The line will ship to retail for summer 2008.
“Shin-chan” follows the antics of five-year-old Shin-chan and his family, friends, dog and many others. A good deal of the hilarity in the series stems from Shin-chan's sporadically weird and inappropriate communication, as well as from his inappropriate behavior. The show is currently appearing on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block.
