“Savior” Update Brings The Final Chapter of GRANDIS To A Close With New Events, Bonuses, and Quality of Life Changes

Massive Sixth Job Warm-Up Event Arrives With “Savior” - Part 2 in July!
LOS ANGELES – June 15, 2023 – MapleStory, Nexon's original free-to-play, side scrolling 2D MMORPG, announces the first of its two-part summer update, “Savior” Part 1, lands in-game on June 14, packed with new events, quality of life improvements, plus a brand new playable character - Khali!

With the Savior update, MapleStory closes the final chapter of the GRANDIS story saga started with Winter 2019's “Glory” update. GRANDIS (an acronym for all the seasonal updates since 2019: Glory, Rise, Awake, Neo, Destiny, Ignition, Savior) opens a new dimension of storytelling and adventures to the MapleStory in-game universe.

On June 14 after maintenance, Maplers can enjoy the following Savior events, bonuses, and quality of life changes:

• Wongstaurant Story! - Wonky the Fairy has joined the entrepreneurial class, and is opening up a brand new Wongstaurant, filled with delightful treats for all the VIPs on the
  list! Give him a hand with a collection of exciting events, and get a taste of your hard work with a huge selection of rewards!
  
• Faster Leveling on the Arcane River! - Leveling from Lv. 200 to Lv. 259 has never been easier, with a suite of permanent improvements to make reaching the newest content in MapleStory smoother! Changes include:
  
  
  
  • Reduced EXP To Level: Going from Lv. 220-259 requires less EXP
    
  • Increased Daily Quest Rewards: Daily Quests now reward more Arcane Symbols, helping you power up through the content even faster, plus more EXP!
    
  • New Lachelin Special Content: Enjoy a game of hide-and-Seek with the new Midnight Chaser Lachelin special content.
    
  
  
• Hyper Burning and Burning World - Burning events return during Savior! Create a new character and dive into Burning World, gaining two bonus levels with each level-up, collect a wealth of rewards to keep steaming ahead, and get all the way up to Lv. 250 in a flash!
  
• Quality of Life changes: these big changes make for a better MapleStory:
  
  
  
  • Star Force Enhancement: Failed attempts at Star Force Enhancement below 15 Stars no longer have any chance of lowering the number of Stars on the item.
    
  • New 5th Job Skills: Friends World and Transcendent jobs will get a new 5th Job skill to boost their flexibility at high levels.
    
  • Improved Character Stat UI: The Character Stat UI has been improved to make it easier to handle all of your stats and figure out what needs improvement.
    
  
  

Khali, the Wind of Vengeance, joins the roster of heroes in MapleStory on June 27! A priestess of the Grandis High Flora, Khali entered the guard with her twin sister, Rasha, and devoted herself to protecting Ypsilon, the Lord of Erimos. Khali moves with impossible speed through the battlefield, using her dual Chakrams, and the blessings of the desert, to punish any foe that tries to stand in her way. That's not nearly all! The second part of this summer's Savior update arrives on July 19, bringing even more content for Maplers to enjoy – including a massive, months-long warm-up event to MapleStory's new 6th Job expansion (coming to Global MapleStory later this year):

• The Sixth Star Warm-Up Event: Get ready for a new era with new powers that will be sure to shock Maple World. Prepare for the power of the Sixth Star with the Warm-Up Event that will expand across 6 different chapters, each chapter giving you exclusive rewards!
  
• Shangri-La: Step into the painting of the glorious city of Shangri-La and learn what happened to trap the city there in the first place.
  
• New Boss: Kaling and the Three Perils: A brand new boss fight against a twisted researcher and the perils she's brought along to destroy paradise.
  
• Guild Castle: Give your guild a home to be proud of with your very own castle.
