Jakarta, Indonesia – Jakarta is buzzing with excitement as Anime Festival Asia Indonesia makes its much-anticipated return after a five-year hiatus. Scheduled for the 3rd to 5th of May 2024, the event will unfold at the prestigious Jakarta Convention Centre, promising fans an immersive experience in the vibrant world of Anime, Comics, and Games.

In tandem with this exciting announcement, the festival has unveiled its event key visual, a captivating creation by the renowned Japanese illustrator LAM (Character Designer for Hololive Indonesia member Kureiji Ollie and many more)!

The key visual features Anime Festival Asia's original mascot Seika surrounded by iconic Indonesian elements. These include the batik motifs on her scarf and belt; the Rafflesia Arnoldii on her hat, and the silhouette of Monas – Indonesia's National Monument, in the backdrop. Seika's luggage is studded with stickers of AFA's iconic logos as well as the tag that features Indonesia's cultural symbols, tying together with Seika's ready-to-go pose as she prepares to travel around Indonesia accompanied by the national bird the Javan Hawk Eagle. The well-articulated visual sets the tone for the event and symbolises the high calibre of creativity and entertainment that attendees can expect.

For Anime Festival Indonesia 2024, the established leading Japanese Entertainment Promoter in South East Asia and owner of Anime Festival Asia -- SOZO, is collaborating with PK Entertainment, Indonesia's top promoter and creative agency. Building on the excitement of its return, the event is set to expand its offerings over two action-packed days.

Spanning over 11,000 square metres of exhibition space, attendees can look forward to a diverse range of activities on the Day Stage, including anime showcases, guest talk shows, and more, providing an immersive experience into the world of Japanese pop culture. The festival will also host hundreds of exhibitors, featuring a mix of major intellectual property (IP) players, creators, cosplayers, and more, offering fans a unique opportunity to explore the latest trends, merchandise, and artworks up close.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the Akiba Stage will spotlight top international, local, and regional performers, alongside brand showcases. This segment promises to bring a dynamic mix of music and entertainment, catering to the diverse tastes of the anime community and beyond.
