LOS ANGELES – MARCH 21, 2024 – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) today announced a special collaboration between eFootball ™ 2024 and hit Japanese anime soccer series “Blue Lock," bringing a line of themed cards, avatars, kits, in-game challenges and more inside KONAMI's long-standing video game franchise.

eFootball™ x Blue Lock

During the limited campaign period, users can add a range of Blue Lock special edition cards to their Dream Team squads starting with the free signings of both Takefusa Kubo and Filippo Inzaghi. These signings are part of a series of eFootball™ cards specially designed in collaboration with the characters from Blue Lock and real-life soccer stars.

As part of the collaboration, limited edition "Blue Lock Team Red" and "Blue Lock Team White" strips will be wearable for all Dream Team squads. Unlock the Team White kit with the "Blue Lock Pack: Yoichi Isagi" and by participating in the "Tour Event: Blue Lock 2nd Selection" users can receive the "Blue Lock Team Red" kit. Through various Campaign Achievements and Challenges, users can grab themselves a ton of loot totaling up to 150,000 Exp., 60,000 GP, and 50 eFootball™ Coins – a profitable collaboration for certain!

eFootball™ Championship: Arsenal FC

With the World Finals in Tokyo fast approaching, the next club to launch their eFootball™ Championship club event is London giants Arsenal FC. Fans from all over the world can compete for the chance to represent ‘The Gunners’ on eFootball™ eSports' biggest stage via the online qualifiers that will launch on 25th March.

To go alongside this, there will also be the addition of special edition Big Time cards in-game featuring three of the current roster and their custom made designs: Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz.

Estadio Olimpico Universitario home of Pumas del la UNAM now in eFootball™

Estadio Olimpico Universitario encapsulates more than 70 years of Mexican sports heritage. Home to Liga BBVA MX's Pumas del la UNAM (PUMAS), the halls and pitch of Universitario have not only witnessed championship football but have played host to many major global sporting events. The near 72,000 capacity arrives to eFootball ™ 2024 today bringing with it the pride of Pumas and the passion of Mexico City.

New feature and New Updates to gameplay

The latest version of eFootball™ has also brought a host of new feature and gameplay improvements designed to address core user feedback and enhance the player experience.

‘Position Training’ will see users be able to utilize exclusive items to train up to two positional aptitudes per player. This will allow them to personalize their characteristics and further bespoke their tactical setups.

There will also be improved defensive conviction - enhancing defenders' abilities to accurately retrieve the ball – as well as the strengthening of individual heading capabilities. This will allow for players with strong real-world heading attributes to showcase this in-game in both attacking and defensive situations. New goal performance will be added, too.

About "Blue Lock"

Japan's desire for World glory leads the Japanese Football Association to launch a new rigorous training program to find the national team's next striker. Three hundred high school players are pitted against each other for the position, but only one will come out on top. Who among them will be the striker to usher in a new era of Japanese football?

About "eFootball™"
