Sailor Moon was my everything - shirts, pajamas, toys - you name it, I had it. She taught me to love passionately in every aspect of my life - everything from video games to friendship - and to never be ashamed for it!

"Oh, you think Moon Kingdom is your ally? You merely became a Moonie. I was born in it! Molded by it. I did not know other fandoms until I was already a Senshi and by then they were nothing to me but dull! In the name of the moon I will break you!"
This is the cosplay I wore to my last convention and had one of the best photoshoots ever with other awesome Moonies. That's what Sailor Moon means to me.

From the glamorous and glitzy transformations to the (welcomed) "Girl Power" goodness, Sailor Moon holds a close place in my heart. I loved Sailor Moon for its empowering messages to girls. Sailor Moon portrayed the various shades of femininity through each Sailor Soldiers' uniqueness; it never discouraged or berated their individuality. Sailor Moon helped me prevail over all the negativity and pressure around in my daily life. From the bottom of my heart, I thank Sailor Moon for teaching me that I can achieve my dreams by being myself and never giving up.

There are too many words to fully
describe all the feelings I have for her.
As a child I would often times escape into my imagination and Sailor Moon was my main escape. Through her I developed my drawing skills and found an interest in
Japanese culture. She has shaped my life in many ways, and continues to do so even today.
If I had to think of one word that would describe my feelings for her, it would have to be grateful.
Thank you for all the memories, and the ones yet to be made.

1st anime I watched and opened the door to awesome anime's Inuyasha, Dragon Ball Z etc. I have Sailor moon to thank cause in school it made for me learning about planets fun. Back when sailor moon went off air on USA network I was sad cause I couldn't watch my favorite cartoon while getting ready for school, when we got cartoon network I saw more seasons on there I was super happy I couldn't stop watching it for weeks :) So Sailor moon to me English or Japanese does not matter just watching/listening to music I knew longest.

When I was in third grade, I had met one of my lifelong friends, Ashleigh. Whenever I'd go and hang out with her, we'd watch Sailor Moon. Since we were military kids, we ended up moving further and further away from each other. Even though we moved far away from each other and the distance kept growing as time progressed, Sailor Moon was the one thing that we still connect with after all these years. Even after visiting her recently, we both hadn't changed one bit and neither did our favorite anime to watch together.

Sailor Moon inspires me. Sometimes when I feel like I'm in a rut and need a positive change I cosplay as Sailor Moon. Some people think that it's weird for me to cosplay as her in public but I don't care. I greatly admire Sailor Moon for her determination and love for others. And amazingly, despite her faults she still saves the world on multiple occasions. I think the main reason why I love cosplaying as Sailor Moon is because she is a reminder that even people who have faults can overcome them to do great things.

Sailor Moon was the first thing I was ever fiercely passionate about. The show taught me it was okay to love what you love, be who you want to be, and express yourself. Even at 13, I knew how special it was and wanted to share it with the world. Hence my Sailor Moon birthday pool party, where I wore a bathing suit in front of my friends for the first time in years. Even though I was very self-conscious, Sailor Moon gave me the confidence to just put on my suit and have a blast.

Even at 28 my mom is amazed at how much I love Sailor Moon. When I first started watching it she didn't think I like it as an adult. A few months back I found a crochet pattern for a Sailor Moon amigumi. She couldn't believe it. She was kind enough to crochet one for me and one for my sister, who at 25 also loves Sailor Moon.

To me, Sailor Moon means adventure. Sailor Moon not only got me interested in anime, but Japanese culture too. After I graduated college, I wanted to know what the real Japan was like. I landed a job as an English teacher and lived in Japan for two years. This experience completely changed how I viewed the world. I learned so much about Japanese culture and about my own culture too! I arrived in Japan as an American citizen; I left Japan as a world citizen.

What used to be something I was forced to watch with my neighbor/friend, now turned into an obsession for me and something I can relate and talk about with my friends. Sailor Moon taught me about bravery, friendship, and that the DIC closing logo was horrifying as a kid.

I discovered Sailor Moon when I was around 8. Before school, I used to watch Gargoyles until the line-up changed and was introduced to not only Sailor Moon and all its awesomeness, but to anime in its entirety. I was so in awe at how cool and different it was that I only wanted to surround myself in the show. From the music and art to the story and characters, it taught me to never give up and inspired me to always do my best. I will forever be indebted to this show for the magic it's bestowed onto me.

I was incredibly lonely growing up, being the only Asian-American girl in an all-white school where I was ostracized for the way I looked. I discovered Sailor Moon in the 9th grade, which taught me about friendship what my childhood hadn't, making me able to eventually form friendships and overcome my fear of isolation. The show emphasized loyalty over everything, a value I've treasured into my adulthood. Recently engaged, I've decided to have a Sailor Moon-themed wedding, and even gifted my bridesmaids with Sailor Senshi-themed items I handcrafted, to show and preserve my loyalty to my partner and my friends.

Like so many other fans, I grew up admiring Sailor Moon, and I always felt a special connection with Sailor Uranus not only for sharing the same birthday as her but also for the empowering message behind her character, which spoke to me even as a child. For my first semester in college, I had to create a personal logo that reflected my essence visually; I picked the symbol for my planet Uranus and adapted it to my initials (AB) because of the impact Sailor Moon, and most specifically, Sailor Uranus had in my life; freedom, love and individuality.

In my wood shop class we had to be able to cut a picture out of our table top we built. I picked the sailor moon silhouette because i love watching the show so its fun having it in my room and seeing it everyday.

From discovering her as a child to watching her revival as an adult, Sailor Moon transcends space and time. When I was in 7th grade, I didn't really have any friends. Being a shy person, it was difficult for me to form relationships. Adolescence took its toll and it felt like no one understood. Then, a wonderful thing happened: I rediscovered the show online. It started as a nostalgic comfort, but grew to be one of the most important things in my life. Sailor Moon means eternal peace and love. I truly do love her and thank her every day.

I became a nurse because I wanted to save lives like Sailor Moon. Nursing can be brutal, exhausting, and scary. But, Sailor Moon reminds me to never give up. Usagi was scared and made many mistakes too, yet still managed to stay strong and keep her heart full of love. Sailor Moon is not merely a character, but a symbol. Everyday, I strive to be kinder, braver, and more loving because of her. This beautiful story has impacted my life like nothing else and I will never stop believing in it.

If it weren't for the Sailor Moon marathon in 1996 on Thanksgiving I wouldn't have learned how awesome anime is. Sailor Moon was the gateway to the world of anime and manga. The first anime character I ever drew was Tuxedo Mask. My wardrobe throughout Jr high consisted of Sailor Moon shirts. I was even given the nickname 'Sailor Moon girl' since I loved showing my love for Sailor Moon. I still wear them once in a blue moon to show the world your never to old to love a classic like Sailor Moon. Thank you for bringing her back!

As a teenager I had completely shut down. Spiraled into a deep depression. I would lay in bed crying and think about how happy I was as a kid. One day while looking at old photos I came across something I had forgotten, Sailor Moon. So many memories raced through my mind. I started watching the episodes and became just as obsessed as I had been in kindergarten. I love everything about it. It is my favourite anime. Sailor Moon means so much to me because I don't know where I'd be if I had not rediscovered it.

This is Washington. I adopted him from a shelter after my previous dog, Buddy, died. Washington loves to watch live action shows that involve animals. When the new Sailor Moon anime was announced, I decided to marathon the original. I started with episode 1 (Japanese version with subtitles). My jaw dropped when I noticed Washington not only watching but also following the subtitles! He watched almost the whole series (except the ones that I watched past his bedtime). But that moment in episode 1 when I knew it was destiny, just as Usagi was destined to meet Luna (and Mamoru).

My first ever fanart drawing was Sailor Moon, and over the years I've developed my skills as an artist to the point that I am now working toward becoming a manga-ka. Two of my favorite genres are mahou-shojo and boys love, so its been my idea to combine the two and write about boys with magic powers that fall in love (with a bit of that beautiful 90s style.) Sailor Moon is the one who taught me that true love knows no bounds and will also last forever. She gave me the strength to pursue my dream with no regrets.

During my elementary days, I was bullied and ostracized by my classmates and even my teacher for being a huge Sailor Moon fan. Nonetheless, this didn't stop me from admiring her. How can Sailor Moon be a bad influence to me? She's the champion of love and justice! She's my childhood heroine and she will always be. If I get to see my teacher today, I will show her how Sailor Moon had made a huge positive difference in my life as a child and now as an adult. That's how important she is to me.

For me Sailor Moon brings one word to mind, happiness. Some of my earliest memories are rushing home from school to catch it on TV. I have always related so much to Usagi. Whether it's problems with school, friends, body image, relationships, or just feeling like you have to save the world; Usagi has faced it all. Seeing a clumsy average girl like her transform into a strong and beautiful warrior makes me feel empowered; like I can do it all too. No matter how bad I feel I can always turn to Sailor Moon for inspiration, and a laugh.

Last year I drove over 880 miles to see Keiko Han and Yuko Minaguchi at Animazement in Raleigh, NC. It was the best convention experience I ever had, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to meet my childhood voice-acting idols. I was able to get the laserdiscs they signed for me professionally framed, and they now hang proudly in my home.

She says, "I love this show!"
I say, "Blue hair? That's stupid."
I'm wrong.
Printed pages of a website, "She looks like me! She's a LESBIAN."
He recognizes my Luna doodle. He's the first person to come out to me. Neptune's awesome. He's awesome.
Mamoru idolizes Usagi. Men can celebrate strong women. I didn't know. Mamoru becomes my standard.
New episodes with censorship and Westernization. I learn to question what I'm told.
The world is so much bigger than I realized. Different families, cultures, languages.
The Sailors are each valuable for being themselves.
We're best as ourselves, and strongest together.

Sailor Moon was the gateway to so many things in my life. Through it I got into anime and made so many important friends, including my best friend, without whom I wouldn't be here today. Sailor Moon taught me you don't have to be perfect to help people..you can be clumsy and whine and still save the day, you can be forgetful but still a good person...you can fight with your friends, but they'll still stand by you when things get bad. It's helped shape my life for the better.

Sailor Moon was one of the first series I recognized as anime in 1998 at age 13. The Sailor Guardians' leader Sailor Venus and her partner Artemis are gazing at a near forgotten relic from their lost Silver Millennium. Why Venus and the Orgel? Venus was a birthday present from my boyfriend (now a converted fan!) and the old music box was a gift from my best friend. Anime truly brings people together: my partner and I met on an Eva forum, while my bestie and I discovered our mutual love for Sailor Moon in a high school class.

When I first saw my first episode of sailor moon I was breath taken! I was 17 years old at the time and very clumsy. Over the years she has been a inspiration her will and courage and love inspired me to keep going no matter the situation and to work hard and never give up there for I have worked and made so many porcelain dolls and given them very good homes. I created this doll with all my heart to honor the true inspiration Princess Serenity Sailor Moon.

I 've loved Sailor Moon since I saw it on Cartoon Network. Yes, the dub was terrible, but it inspired my love. I still get goosebumps whenever they transform. I weep every time I watch the senshi return from death to help their Princess defeat Beryl/Metalia. I have introduced my sons to the subs and they're already in love. I can't wait for Crystal and they can't wait for Viz's new dubs. I've made the girls into Sims and bought the Figuarts. The Sailor Senshi have done more for me than I ever could for them.

Usagi always irked me, but I think it's because I always related to being a coward myself, reluctant to confront issues. I wanted to be more like Jupiter or Mars; strength and conviction...but Usagi was strong!
I never considered myself a fighter. But at every juncture, I found myself strong enough to make tough decisions in my life.
Without Sailor Moon, I do not think I would be living in Japan right now, serving my family and friends as a military member.
Sailor Moon is my muse- She/It is the reason for my optimism and strength over cowardice.

To me Sailor Moon was the First anime I really got into. It's how I met my best friends, something me and my sister, who has passed watched, chatted about, and sometimes fought about . It is something that I still cos-play and collect today. I even got to be put in a comic book called "Pop Japan Travel". It was the anime of my youth .I have even traveled to Japan to find my Sailor Moon Treasures. Sailor Moon to me is Good memories, Adventure and Love. As Sailor Moon Says the Moon Light brings the message of love.

Sailor moon always made me feel I could get through any thing in life. When I turned 8, my grandmother made my friends and I sailor moon costumes for my party. Now she has past and I still have the suit and the fun memory of her making them.

Sailor Moon has been a part of me for my entire life. It is my most favourite thing in the world. It has helped me throughout my life when I was feeling depressed and helpless. It gave me one of the most precious and long-lasting friendships of my life, even though we now live in different countries. It helps me to look at the world more optimistically. Sailor Moon is my light of hope. My picture is the first time I dressed up as Sailor Moon at my friend's (pictured) going away party. I was incredibly excited.

Sailor Moon is a hero figure to me. I loved shows having a woman save the day, so much so that my Mum said I used to run around the house acting out my heroes.
My Mum made this costume for me to dress up in (lost some pieces), but I'm glad I've still got this because it was the happiest day of my life.
This costume, and Sailor Moon herself, have a place in my heart for letting loose the inner hero inside. Something I'll always aspire too, even when times are tough, because that is who she is.

Years ago, I received dolls from an unknown show: Sailor Moon. Imagine my Silence Glaive Surprise when it reappeared on TV years later. The first episode was a Venus Love and Beauty Shock to my heart, captivating me. Even under Sparkling Wide Pressure, I had a Garnet Ball following the story. I began to Deep Submerge into the World Shaking of anime and manga. It also led me to taking a Shine Aqua Illusion to Japanese culture. Even now, I would still Twinkle Yell that Sailor Moon was like meeting my Fire Soul mate: I'll always Moon Tiara Boomerang back.

I'm not an artistic person. I don't have any inclination or talent for crafts. Sailor Moon is so inspirational that it took an uncreative person like me and made me want to be artistic. I made these posters (and others not pictured) by cutting out images from my extra copies of the old Sailor Moon comics. These posters are the one craft project I have done in my life. The poster titles are names of songs from the anime or musicals. My favorite is "Over the Moon" featuring Neo-Queen Serenity, although Mako-chan's turned out really nice, too.

Like many, Sailor Moon was my first anime. It's become much more than a show to me - it's a way of life! Through a love of Sailor Moon, I developed my art and thus my career. I met so many of my friends because of Sailor Moon, and I've learned to live a happy life based on being hopeful, determined, romantic, and maybe a little magical! I'm expecting my first child this July, a baby girl! I can't wait to introduce her to the exciting world inside Naoko Takeuchi's beautiful story!

For what began as merely another childhood Saturday morning indulgence, no other has had such impact on my life as Sailor Moon--it's sparked multicultural interests, nurtured a lifelong love of the arts, and bolstered my confidence from youth on into adulthood. It's an important story in unexpected ways, a saga spanning worlds and centuries, but as much a relatable coming-of-age, a reflection on the strength of girls and the bonds between them. Learning to accept my flaws and be brave in spite of them has brought me happiness--and my own miracle romance. I'll be forever grateful!

A crybaby, who was still able to fight bravely, taught me that I didn't have to be perfect to do great things. She taught me how to embrace anything and everything. That life isn't always easy, but it's worth living and fighting for even during the darkest times. I will always believe that I am who I am (someone who's loyal, kind and a defender of truth) because of the lessons I learned from Sailor Moon. Even a librarian like me can be a hero. So, thank you, Sailor Moon! (Also, I adopted a little black cat named Luna).

Sailor Moon has been my hero and my saviour, not only has she taught/shown me I can be whoever I want to be, she's helped me through tough times in my life. I grew up watching her fight evil after craft time when I was a little kid, and now she's an inspiration to my artwork and outlook on life. Sailor Moon is important to me because she's means everything to me. She's given me hope when I thought there wasn't any. I love her to the Moon Kingdom and back.

Sailor Moon taught me what true friendship is ; You never leave anyone behind , nobody should be sacrificed and we are strongest when we all work together. She taught me to stand up for what I believe in, to never give up and that nothing is gained by fighting. She also made me realize that there is always find good in people ,even when they seem to be the most destructive of villains. She has made me who I am today and she will always be a part of me. Moon prism power !

What I like and learned from the Sailor Moon anime and manga series is that it has a message and that message is, to always believe in yourself ,friendship ,love, hope, life, dreams,to never give up ever, fight and go for what you believe.
been a fan since I was in high school and to this day I am still a fan and a collector of the show, my SM collection has grown to this day. I also made a lot of friends thur that show as well and who I am still friends with to this very day.

Sailor Moon has a very special place in my heart. I've been in love with the show since I was a little girl, a time when I was often lonely and didn't have many friends. Sailor Moon gave me a sense of belonging and comfort, with Usagi being a character I could easily relate to. Watching her grow, mature, face her fears and her unconditional love and trust in others is truly inspirational.
I hope my Sailor Moon comic strips bring others joy and happiness, just as Sailor Moon continues to for me.

Sailor Moon was the first anime series I ever watched. I used to watch it after school with my dad and little brother. I used to act out the show with my cousins and owned a ton of the original merchandise! The series has definitely brought me into my own as a unique individual, a strong woman, and a cosplayer with its strong story. As an adult, it's still one of my favorite series ever, and I know I wouldn't be where I am in the community without this series. Here's a way back when from the nineties!

Sailor Moon is important to me, because, I have grown strong and courageous with healthy role models like the Sailor Scouts, It has taught me many things about life. "Sometimes we have to accept the bad with the good!" One of the many messages I learned and was able to mold into the person I am today. It has given me dreams, achievements and possibilities for the future. It inspired my art, martial arts, and career. Now, I still feel nostalgia after watching it countless of times as a girl, I believe it will carry on to future children too.

I've spent a long time trying to decide my answer here. It's difficult--in fact, it's almost impossible--to decide on one thing. After all, Sailor Moon was my childhood. Later, it saw me through my parents' divorce, and my grandfather's and best friend's deaths. I've modeled many cosplays after Sailor Moon, even used it as the focus of prop (Sailor Neko, Feline of Justice). Now, I'm creating a magical girl story of my own. Most of all, it gave me my best friends. It has essentially become a part of me, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
